Returning to diving after an 18-year hiatus, I received thorough instruction in a refresher diving course. I visited the diving center three times between September and October, with customers ranging in age from teenagers to those in their 70s. This season, I commuted by train every time, but the shop's car picked me up at Jogasaki Kaigan Station around 8:40 AM and drove me to the best spots in the strait that day (the three dives were Futo Beach, Marine Park Beach, and Futo Boat). The basic schedule was two morning dives with a break, followed by lunch (at a hidden gem), returning to the shop to log and settle the bill, and then being driven back to the station. (When diving at Marine Park, they regularly hold BBQs, allowing participants to socialize.) In addition to diving, the shop also offers snorkeling, making it a great choice for individuals of all ages, families, and foreign visitors.

A great dive shop. The dive guides were very friendly. Fuhu is a beautiful spot, but you might need a thicker wetsuit. The lowest underwater temperature on September 6, 2025 was 21.1 degrees Celsius. A 5mm semi-dryer with a 1.5mm titanium-lined hood and vest might feel a little cold, but it's acceptable. They can communicate in English. It was a great experience.
