About This Site

Gili Mimpang has a depth between 5 and 30 meters and it is recommended only to the advanced and experienced diver, as the currents in the area are notorious for being strong and unpredictable. There are three little rock islands at this dive site, housing a variety of soft and hard corals, sweetlips, batfish, snappers, barracudas, shrimps, triggerfish, devil rays and turtles. The cold currents increase the chances of pelagic species being spotted here, and divers can therefore occasionally encounter sunfish (mola mola) or reef sharks. The minimum visibility here is of 15 meters and it can sometimes reach 30 meters.Water temperature varies, so divers need to make sure they are wearing an appropriate wetsuit.Dive site info provided bySandie Fireson févr. 13, 2019
