Deep Med - Freediving Malta & Gozo

I spent a wonderful week with Fabrice and Deep Med and made a lot of progress during the 5 coaching sessions. Fabrice is a great teacher, very professional, super relaxed in the water and easy going. I felt very safe, which helped me to access my relaxation and increase my feeling of comfort under water more and more. His way of teaching and coaching helped me to understand what I need to work on and to improve it during the next dives. Thanks again Fab, beyond happy I got to dive with you 🙏 🌊 I also liked the sessions on the surface like EQ and freediving theory as well as stretching and relaxation. I didn't stay at the school as it was fully booked (there are lost of options nearby) but still spent a lot of time there, for afternoon activities and cooking, for example. Deep Med really felt like spending time with chosen family :) 🤿🙃 The dive sites are super divers with the most wonderful blue I've seen under water. There are ship wrecks, caves and rock formations which make fun dives real fun, even for beginners. 🐠🪼 Thanks again for a fantastic time, dear Fab and Team! See ya soon ☺️

I did my Wave 1 course with DeepMed Freediving School in early October, and came back in November for a few extra days of training — and honestly, I achieved so much more than I ever thought I could! Fabrice, Matt, Penelope, and Tim (also Charlotte) were all incredibly supportive, patient, and encouraging throughout. The core team is super friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel at home right away. The equipment is good, the setup is professional, and the whole atmosphere is easygoing and relaxed, which really helps when you’re learning something as mental as freediving. I never once felt pressured — just inspired and guided at my own pace. Between the beautiful Gozo waters, the calm teaching style, and the great vibes on the beach and the boat, I can’t imagine a better place to start (or continue) your freediving journey. DeepMed really helped me reconnect with the sea, feel completely safe, and gently push my own boundaries — both physically and mentally. I’m so grateful for the experience. If you’re even remotely thinking about trying freediving, DeepMed is the perfect place to do it. 🌊💙
