About This Site
Mala Wharf was destroyed in 1992 by Hurricane Iniki creating a beautiful, lively artificial reef. Easily accessible from the shore, walking in from the beach with a short surface swim and drop down at the end of the remaining pier. Huge schools of goat fish surround the wreckage with typically incredible visibility. Goldring surgeonfish create a turtle cleaning station bringing in as many as 30 turtles everyday.
