Farnsworth Banks is one of Southern California's most dramatic dive sites, but it's not for the inexperienced. The dive begins at 20 metres/65 feet, and its location in the open ocean means conditions can be rough. Divers with the training and experience can book a 3-tank boat trip from the mainland (autumn is the best time to go).
