About This Site
Tanote Bay is an easy dive site in Koh Tao situated in a protected bay south of Laem Thian. The maximum depth is 18 meters (59 feet) and it is suitable for divers of all levels of experience, often being used for dive training.There are a few wrecks in the area: a catamaran and a motorbike, both inhabited by a number of marine creatures. Banded pipefish, damselfish, barracudas, triggerfish, bannerfish, and angelfish are some of the animals you can expect to see here. As for the underwater flora, the reef has many brain corals, boulder corals, and huge barrel sponges.The visibility is great, exceeding 20 meters (66 feet) and there’s usually no current here.
