About This Site

The SS Thordisa was a 120-meter-long Italian steamer built in 1888. In 1913, it was renamed Lilla. On October 13, 1917, during the First World War, it was attacked and sunk by the German submarine U-35, commanded by Captain Arnauld de la Perrière, known for his aggressiveness and effectiveness in submarine warfare.
