About This Site

Ilhéu do Soldado, located to the NW in Berlenga Grande, is a site where you can usually only dive when the sea is calm and there is no wind. It is a site for all types of divers, the depth varies from 5 metres to 18 metres outside the bay. It's usually very common to see an encrusting algae (Ellisolandia elongata). Inside the bay it's a quieter place, where we can see more Wrasse, Scorpionfish, Nudibranchs, Octopus and Spidercrabs, while outside the bay we can find Seabreams and Cowbreams feedi…
