About This Site
Carreiro dos Cações is a north-facing bay. The ancients say that this bay used to be full of "Smooth-hound" sharks, which rested there under the Kelp forest. The depth varies from 5 to 13 metres. The dive usually starts inside the bay in the lower area where there is plenty of life and it is very common for schools of small fish to take shelter inside from other predators.
