The wreck is located very close to the small bay of Wied Iz-Zurrieq, about a 7-minute swim from the entry point to the water. It was an oil tanker which made journeys between Libya and Italy. In 1995, due to technical problems, it went into dry dock in Malta and the same night an explosion occurred in one of its tanks, killing several shipyard workers.
