About This Site

Swahili Nurseries are located at a sandy area of 30x30 m with small coral patches and stretches of macro-algae. In the center of the area there are about 14 floating coral tree nurseries and 7 depth gradients with different species of coral. On the west side of the nurseries at about 8 m of depth there are 100 cages with corals attached. The nursery area is marked with buoys and within the area no fishing activities are allowed.
