Punta Campanella closes the southern side of the Gulf of Naples and opens the northern one of the Gulf of Salerno. It is the so-called Minervae Promontory, near which the ancient Greek and Roman ships stopped waiting for favorable weather conditions to be able to round it. The very varied morphology allows during the same dive to cross very different naturalistic scenarios.
