About This Site

The Jetty was originally built for cruise ship berthing, but its lack of compliance to international standards deemed it unusable for the initial purpose. Therefore, The Jetty has become in the mean time a great dive site popular especially among underwater photographers looking for macro critters. The depth between 3 and 18 meters and an almost inexistent current make The Jetty a fabulous spot even for novice divers. The marine life here includes soft corals (such as sea fans, anemones, hydroids), which shelter flabelinas, blue-ring and wonder octopii, rhinopias, anchovies, jacks, squids, mackarels, flabelinas, glassfish and trevallies, among others. There are also cuttlefish, pipefish, lionfish, frogfish and stonefish, among numerous other species which are a photographer's delight. The water temperature varies from 19 to 25 degrees Centigrade, so divers need to make sure they are wearing an appropriate wetsuit.Dive site info provided byFatima Andersenon févr. 19, 2019
