About This Site
Shark Point is a popular dive site in Gili Trawangan suitable for intermediate to advanced divers. The first level of the dive site is a reef plateau situated at 10 meters (33 feet), and then it drops to 18 meters (59 feet). The third level is represented by a series of rolling valleys that extend down to 35 meters (115 feet). The sea fans, barrel sponges, stony corals, and sea whips are home to a number of marine animals such as white-tip sharks, black-tip sharks, green sea turtles, octopus, anemonefish, ribbon eels, scorpionfish, and manta rays, among others. The current can be very strong and dangerous at times, so diving at Shark Point may not always be possible.Dive site info provided byStella Lewison out. 4, 2019
