About This Site
A shallow reef is situated off the coast of San Felipe. It features a rocky bottom surrounded by sand, home to colonies of star coral (Montastrea, Orbicella, and Siderastrea) and brain coral (Diploria and Pseudodiploria), among other coral species. Within small caves, one can find moray eels and a variety of fish, including pufferfish, angelfish, trumpetfish, and boxfish, as well as sea cucumbers, lobsters, and nudibranchs.
