Barrel Sponge Wall is named for its abundance of Giant Barrel Sponges, which thrive on north-facing sites. This site boasts 17 massive barrel sponges, all over 15 years old. Watch closely, and you’ll see them filtering water and venting it through their chimneys. Some divers even use non-toxic dye to visualize this process!
