About This Site

The Maraldi Shipwreck is one of the many shallow wrecks located in All Saints Bay, the largest bay in Brazil, and a popular dive site near Barra Lighthouse in Salvador. The vessel sank on February 28, 1875, after running aground on coral reefs due to strong currents while stopping to resupply with coal and food.
