We Go Diving

I can honestly say Hugh is one of the best dive instructors I’ve ever dived with. From the very first dive, he stood out for how calm, patient, and clear he was. He takes the time to properly explain everything, never rushes you, and makes sure you feel completely comfortable and confident in the water. He completed part of my Advanced Open Water course with me, and I learned so much from him not just skills, but also confidence as a diver. After our first dive together, I requested him for all my remaining fun dives on the island, which is something I’ve never done before. That alone should say everything. If you have the chance to dive with Hugh take it, you won’t find many instructors at this level. Thank you Hugh and can’t wait to come back.

I completed my Open Water certification with Hugh at WeGoDiving, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I went into it with a huge fear of the sea and all the unknown creatures beneath the surface, so this was a big personal challenge for me to overcome. This PADI certification became the doorway to overcoming that fear, and that is entirely thanks to Hugh. He was kind, patient, and consistently reassuring throughout the course. On the first day, there was a moment where I started to panic and genuinely didn’t think I could continue. Hugh calmly reassured me, encouraged me to trust him, and reminded me that I could enjoy the experience if I gave myself the chance. I’m so glad I listened, because pushing through that moment has led me to discover a new passion. Hugh’s teaching style really stood out. He’s knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely funny, which made learning feel relaxed and enjoyable. What I appreciated most was his ability to recognise that everyone learn needs are different, and his flexibility in adapting his teaching to suit each individual was admirable. Thanks to Hugh, I now feel confident and excited to continue diving, and I can’t wait for my first independent open water dive. I couldn’t recommend him more highly as an instructor and I hope we can dive together again in the future.
