Can’t recommend these guys enough! I decided last minute to go diving while visiting a friend in La Ventana and decided on Venta Dive Center after talking to several other shops. Stephanie and Gunter were welcoming and so wonderful! I …

Went diving with Venta dive on Feb 5 2026. A shout out to Christian who was undisputedly the best dive master I have ever had the pleasure of diving with. I have gone diving in many countries over the last 15 years and would rate as number 1. Clear concise professional and still entertaining and engaging. Whales dolphins mobula rays and many many fishes. Thank for for a wonderful experience!

I have scuba’d in Maui, BVI’s, La Paz, etc…. But we keep coming back to Gunter, Stephanie, Cristian, and Jacel’s shop in La Ventana. Everyone is exceptionally proficient in English. We are already planning our 3rd week of diving with these folks as we appreciate them all so much. They just go a cut above in providing a fun and safe experience - and the gear is all in A-1 condition; and they work hard to keep their clients comfortable. For example, when Mrs. MaGee was feeling under the weather, Jacel even offered to go to the farmacia with Mrs. MaGee to help translate the various medicines available there - as Mrs. MaGee is a nurse - RN, but can’t speak/read Spanish. I could have gone with Mrs. MaGee to the farmacia, (I’m pretty much Spanish bilingual) but Jacel volunteered, concerned that I might miss out on some windy kiteboarding whilst running Mrs. MaGee around to farmacias to scrutinize Spanish language medicine labels. Just thoughtful and extra-mile offers to help as they could tell we were on limited time and wanted to get as much in as we could each day in terms of scrubs and wind sports. On our most recent trip to dive with these folks, we took two of our friends with us - one of whom was a beginner. The beginner was treated with a concierge-like level of service. These folks can also hook you up with fishing, spear-fishing, kiteboarding, paddle boarding, wing foiling and even excursions to Cerralvo Island. This shop has used the same family of boatmen (from Aguas Amargas) for years and the capitans take fine care of their boats; the boats are spotlessly clean every day. We even did a night dive (our novice friend didn’t dive at night as not yet sufficiently certified/experienced) and the night dive was awesome! P.S. Don’t forget a thoughtful tip (una propina) for your boatman (Capitan) and dive leader/organizer/guide.
