3.7 · 128 reviewsWe stayed here as a family trip with four kids. By American standards, this is a 1-star hotel; I’ll give it a 2 stars to be nice and maybe by Asian standards, it could be 3 stars. We were out of the room all day so the soft beds and pillows were a welcome site. The website said the room slept 6, though they were only 2 queen-sized and a double beds for a family of six. They did bring us a 4” mat and our 14 year old said it was fine. They made up the room daily but only after requesting. They were generous with fresh towels and the amenity kits (soap, shampoo, toothbrush/paste). We had enough toothbrushes to outfit an elementary school after our 3 nights. They provided a water bottle a person/day as well as a bag of 3-in-1 coffee. The room had 2 drinking water heaters and a good working fridge. Unfortunately, many basics fell short. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, hot water took about 7 minutes of running the shower to arrive, and the small, old wall-mounted AC unit struggled to cool the room for the first 1-2 hours and never really cooled the room fully overnight EVEN in Dec. (perhaps impossible in the hotter months). The room itself felt dusty and worn, reflecting the age of the property. The tiles in our room had been painted and paint was chipping off and sticking to our feet as we walked on them. The electricity went out every night we were there, 1-3 times but usually was back on in a minute or 2. Perhaps worst of all, our door only could be padlocked from the outside so we had to sleep with it unlocked all night. One ceiling fan creaked constantly. We also encountered a large roach on the bed frame the first night (bug spray was provided after asking the front desk) but we lost sight of it. The next day it showed up again in the bathroom — not something you want on a family trip, especially with one sleeping on a mat on the floor. The staff, to their credit, were polite and friendly. Amenities like the pool, pool table, and gym exist, but they were sometimes crowded or unavailable. The location is excellent — right by the boardwalk and many restaurants — which is the hotel’s biggest strength. Parking, however, is awkward and really only suitable for motorcycles. The memories we make on motorcycles, scuba diving, eating at the island best restaurants and playing card games together were what really mattered. So the hotel was a means to that end. At around $100/per night for a family of six, it may be acceptable for budget travelers but expectations should be kept low. It could have just been our room, and bugs are somewhat inevitable, but I couldn’t recommend it, and wouldn’t give it a second try.

worst resort ever, rooms were old and smelled funny. water heater does not work, toilet doesnt flush, moldy bathroom. receptionist was NOT accommodating at all, tried to scam me too. waited more than an hour for our room and they did not even say sorry & was not apologetic about it. had to climb 5 flights of stairs just to get in our room. just take my advice and not waste your money here. there are better & cheaper options out there. no signal and wifi too.

Maybe because i have booked it early, thr price i paid per night for a deluxe room was less than $14 and definitely think it is well worth the money. AC is not very cold, room is old and a little dark, but it is big, comes with a fridge, attached bathroom with hot shower. Location is very strategically located. Highly recommended!
