If you are looking for an English speaking dive site, save your time and use this one. These are remarkably rare. However I found Toiro to be fantastic from start to finish. Not only was the diving great, but Mika was truly excellent in helping secure accommodation (very hard if not Japanese!) as well as helping put together some great post dive footage that she shared. Zamami is not technically difficult at all, and as such doesn’t have a wide range of “big” fish, however it makes up for this with an astonishing array of stunning coral and raw amount of fish. This would be a great area to dive if you were just starting out, were a nervous diver, or just frankly wanted to have easy dives. Get the fast ferry but make sure you book ahead of time! It seems you cannot get a new ticket on the day but you CAN swap times of availability allows if you already have a ticket.

Great, great dive center. Mika is a fantastic guide and person and showed me the best that Zamami and the islands has to offer. Great dive sites, and a really stellar service. Also did the whale watching tour she organises and that was fantastic as well. Easy communication via email (and also via Line, a Japanese version of WA), and everything organised beautifully. Will definitely be back diving with Mika and Toiro!!!
