Amazing experience! Super friendly team – thank you all for an unforgettable time! Perfect spot for beginners, with extra divers around you to make sure you feel completely safe. …

I recently went diving with The Waterhoppers in Rhodes. The staff were professional, friendly, and made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable—especially beginners. The equipment was in acceptable condition, and the overall setup felt well-organized in terms of safety. However, the day felt unnecessarily long due to extended administrative procedures that could have been done on shore, followed by a long wait on the boat before diving. The sea was quite wavy, and some people got seasick while waiting, which affected their overall experience. After diving, there was another long wait before heading back to shore, which made the whole trip feel a bit too stretched out. The dive itself was enjoyable but short. If you go, I recommend booking the second dive and preparing for a full day with possible delays. Overall, a good experience but could be improved with better time management.

As a qualified diver with 30 years experience, travelling with all my own equipment , I was somewhat disappointed with my experience at Waterhoppers in Rhodes. I was staying in the North of the Island and had booked transfers for the 4 days of diving booked (8 dives). The transport to and from some of the dive sites was in overcrowded cars, which felt uncomfortable and disorganised. It was also frustrating that I wasn’t able to leave my equipment at the club — I had to carry it back to my hotel every day, then wash and clean it myself which is a first in all my years of club diving abroad. Some of the dive boats were also overcrowded, making the trips cramped and far from enjoyable. On my final dive, I was unable to use the nitrox cylinder I had paid for because the club had provided the wrong valve, despite the fact they knew from earlier dives that I had my own regulators. I still haven’t received a refund for this. Overall, the operation felt focused on volume rather than diver comfort, which was very disappointing. I felt they were more geared up for getting try divers through the door rather than cater for the qualified divers. However, the dive guides were professional and knowledgeable, operating under difficult conditions through no fault of their own. Diving was as good as can be expected in the Aegean/Mediterranean sea, and a good opportunity to practice with my camera settings.
