The Blue Abyss Dive Shop

Really disappointed with our experience at Blue Abyss. We booked a three dive package and were super excited because we came all the way to the Philippines mainly to scuba dive. They had messaged us beforehand telling us to come at 9am so we could have the dive to ourselves. When we showed up at 9am, they had no idea who we were. No record of our booking. No heads up. Nothing. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t really apologize or try to fix it. Because of that, we missed an entire morning of diving on what’s supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip for us. We’re only here for two days, so losing that time was a huge deal. Then they told us we could only do two dives and quoted us the price for a two day package, not the three day package we originally booked (which is cheaper per dive). There was no effort to honor what we had arranged. What bothered us most was how little they seemed to care. It honestly felt like they didn’t mind whether we stayed or left. We ended up going to Amigos instead and they were extremely accommodating and helpful. The difference in attitude and professionalism was obvious. Would not recommend.

Absolutely great Dive Shop. Good equipment and boat. Very friendly and helpful owner, and daughter. Top dive instructors, guides with lot of experience and great community. A few dogs and cats. Also good value for the money. Walked in by accident and stayed for diving. What you need more? 🤿😁

Completed my PADI open water dive certification here with Garry and had the BEST experience!! He taught me everything in a fun and accessible way, and made me feel super comfortable and confident underwater. It is obvious he cares about the ocean and protecting the environment as well. My partner also did his refresher course with the shop and we were able to do a few dives together during my certification which was SO special. Absolutely recommend this dive shop!!!
