Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado

What a lovely place to stay in North Sulawesi! Staff and management are excellent, dive trips are well organized and fun everyday. Resort is comfortable. Would recommend to stay here when you’re into diving and looking for a great place to stay.

Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado was a game changer on my Indonesia travels in 2025. The founder of the resort is an outstanding woman on so many levels. She is not only a great teacher, who helped my girl-friend her anxiousness of diving, but she also teaches the kids of the village how to swim - in the hotel pool - how to scuba dive, the in and outs of the tourism trade and much more. I even met one of her former pupils as a dive instructor in Raja Ampat later that year. Her kindness radiates and I have rarely been in a place where the hotel staff is more friendly and accommodating. Granted the hotel is not located directly at the beach and the tropical climate is not too helpful the hotel bungalows bathrooms, but the quirky guests who stay at the resort speak for themselves. Many of the guests I met were regulars who have been visiting for years. What I liked most was the food. It was delicious and it felt miraculous that I got the impression that lost some weight while never feeling hungry and even indulging eating the desserts! It was probably the awesome scuba diving which is another key reason why you should stay at the resort, because Thalassa dive team is top notch.

You are all highly trained and have a great career ahead of you. - Thank you to the housekeeping team. Every time I entered the villa, I felt right at home. - Thank you to the reception team: It felt wonderful to see and greet me with a smile every day. - Thank you to the dive center team: Everything was perfectly organized, and you chose the most beautiful reefs. Besides Bruri and the captain, everyone made my diving experience unforgettable. - Thank you also to the drivers and gardeners: We couldn't do it without you. It was also wonderful to meet Simone's loyal friends and supporters. I would like to support the school. Let's stay in touch 🙂. Overall, the Thalassa, along with its guesthouse, is situated in the rainforest. This paradise has been created with great care and attention to detail. An entire village is part of it. Therefore, I cannot understand a single criticism from my predecessors. Our New Year's Eve celebration was also such a wonderful experience. The view from the „Mount Tumpa“ will remain unforgettable for me. I admire the work and passion. It's also about experiencing Indonesia as a host country and not "just being in any hotel." You can feel all of that in Thalassa, and it's impressive. I WILL COME BACK 🫶🏻 - I came as guest and felt as friend all the time. DANKE 🙏🏻
