Tank'd Pro Dive Center

We visit Utila for 5-6 weeks every year. I’ve always used Tank’d for my dive center. We noted that very recently, Tank’d was sold. The instructors are the same professionals with the addition of a young local (Daniel) that is energetic and extremely knowledgeable and capable. Magda has moved into Dive center manger this year and she runs it with rigid efficiency and a smile and a giggle that radiates confidence and command. The new owner (Tim) is more involved with the dive center business than the previous owners, whom I had never met. I’ve dove with the new owner ; Tim, and he is one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He’s very concerned with making sure his customers are happy and what he can do to make their experience better. I enjoy watching him learn the different reef layouts with the help from his very experienced local boat captains. I’m a little confused by a previous review listing dirty boats, unconcerned dive masters, and Tim not being attentive. As a somewhat experienced diver, I can almost set my watch with an air check at 15 minutes and another one at 1/2 hour with return trip or 1/2 hour check raising depth level to extend dive times. I also appreciate that they try and separate beginner open water divers from more experienced divers giving us freedom to use our experience to explore. Having 2 fast/ powerful dive boats gets us to the farthest dive sites long before the other dive boats arrive. Thanks Tim and Kerry- keep your chins up. The best is yet to come.

Tank'd are BRILLIANT! The team are all lovely, the boats are fast and the kit is in good condition. I liked all the personal touches, my kit ready when I arrived was lovely! I dived twice a day for ten days and enjoyed it all. They team were all friendly but also very professional. It was a slightly older crowd but that suited me perfectly, I was always diving with experienced divers. Highly recommended!
