Surf Mexico

Rico was the best instructor- fun, approachable and a great teacher. La Lancha beach is gorgeous and perfect for different skill levels. Rico went above and beyond to get us back to Bucerias when the cartel barricaded the highway (google Feb 22, 2026). He found a way for us to return by boat with the SurfMexico boat crew. My kids and I were scared but Rico and the SurfMexico boat crew (Alex!!!) were so caring and made us feel so much better. The crew brought us to shore by paddle boards. I can’t thank them all enough - literally our heros! If it weren’t for them, we would have been stranded on the roadside for 2 days. We are currently still stranded in Mexico awaiting flights to be rescheduled but we are considering surfing again today ;) I would give these guys 100 stars if I could! Manuel was an amazing e-foil instructor! He spent one full hour out on the water with me and my daughters and he had all three of us gliding above the water by the time our lesson had ended. This was our first time trying and he gave us all the right cues to make it one of the most enjoyable activities we have ever done as a family! Super nice! Super kind! Super cool!
