I did my Rescue Diver course with this company, and it was such a great experience! The instructor was very professional and experienced. The crew is very organized, making everything run smoothly, and the atmosphere is exciting. Diving in EL Nido is amazing, with many dive sites suitable for beginner levels to experienced divers. The dive crew highlights the importance of protecting the corals and marine life. Also, to pick up any floating trash they may see along the dive to help keep our ocean clean. After doing my Rescue course, I went back a year later to do a Divemaster course! After diving with the Submariner Dive Centre for many weeks, the Dive Masters and Instructors shared their extensive expertise, providing a deeply educational experience. Every day was a story worth telling; meeting different people from all over the world who came to see the Beautiful islands and the rich marine life. It is no wonder that Submariner Dive Center is the NO.1 Dive Center in Palawan. Don't miss the chance to explore the vibrant underwater world while in El Nido— the marine life is absolutely stunning.

We did a family diving experience with Submariner Dive Center in El Nido, and overall it was a mixed experience. One member of our family even completed their PADI certification with them. The instructor was excellent — very professional, calm, and clearly experienced. He did a great job and made the learning process feel safe and well guided. However, the diving equipment was in very poor condition. The wetsuits, boots, and especially the diving gear itself were worn out and not properly maintained. Some pressure gauges were broken, and some regulators were literally held together with zip ties, which is not acceptable from a safety or quality perspective. On the positive side, the boat was very good, comfortable and well organized. We also had lunch with them — a chicken curry — which was surprisingly very tasty and enjoyable. Regarding the diving itself, we went during plankton season, so visibility was quite limited. In addition, jellyfish larvae were present and caused stinging, which affected the overall comfort of the dive. We did see some marine life, but El Nido is not an especially impressive destination for diving compared to other places. In summary: great instructor and nice boat, good food, but the condition of the equipment really needs serious improvement, and diving conditions depend heavily on the season

My husband and I got our Open Water PADI certification at Submariner Diving Center with our instructor AJ, and the experience was amazing. The dive center is in a great location and the staff were all incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. AJ was an excellent instructor—very calm, patient, and safety-focused. He explained everything clearly, made sure we were comfortable and confident with each skill, and never rushed us. He was great at spotting and pointing out marine life, and he’s also an awesome underwater photographer who captured some amazing photos and videos of us during the dives. The diving itself was incredible with beautiful coral, lots of fish, and even a few turtles. Lunches were provided and were delicious (and very generous!). Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and we would highly recommend Submariner Diving Center to anyone looking to get certified or go diving.
