The STARESO station is a phenomenal scientific research center, both for its location on the Revellata Peninsula and for the diversity of the research topics conducted there, the passion and kindness of the employees, the multiple opportunities for diving and scientific missions, the conservation of the surrounding environment, and the species to be observed. Anyone who devotes part of their life there leaves with a positive impression, whether as an intern, employee, for a teaching period, or any other type of stay. Many universities from around the world come here for more or less short stays for research and teaching activities (United States, Germany, Belgium, etc.) due to the unique characteristics of this marine station. Nevertheless, the STARESO station is a private Corsican research institute. Access is therefore strictly prohibited under normal circumstances except in cases of invitation, absolute emergency, or during clearly defined open house periods, as you risk seriously disrupting the staff and ongoing scientific activities. The same applies to the lighthouse, which is not accessible to the general public. However, the station regularly participates in various scientific outreach activities, and the Starésians will be delighted to discuss all topics related to the sea and scientific research with you! You can also regularly find reports on the station's activities in the local and mainland media. Although the station is closed to access, Revellata is a lovely hiking spot with a publicly accessible path leading to the point. A word of advice: don't forget a bottle of water, especially in summer. It's easy to get dehydrated under the Mediterranean sun.
