Would gladly do it again. We were in Key Largo at the beginning of March, where I wanted to try scuba diving. Having a German-speaking instructor was important to us because there are quite a few things to keep in mind, and clear communication is essential. After comparing several options online, we chose Sons of Poseidon. Upon arrival, dive instructor Rafael was already waiting for us and prepared. The day was divided into two parts: exercises in the pool in the morning, and two dives on the reef in the afternoon. He didn't just rattle off the basics and safety rules in the pool in the morning, but reinforced them with key points, quizzes, and in-depth exercises, as much as was possible in a single morning. Without much questioning, he also explained the basic functions of the equipment. The two dives in the afternoon weren't quite ideal in terms of visibility and current (at least not for me to judge). However, Rafael always made a confident and professional impression, which, as a complete diving novice, gave me a sense of security and calm. He clearly enjoys his job, and that's contagious. The day was stress-free, interesting, and a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
