Amazing diving/snorkeling and great place to visit.... if the weather is nice. If the weather turns sour there is not much to do here so plan accordingly. Outside of that the snorkeling and diving is some of the best I have done in the world. I rate it up there with Belize and Grand Cayman. Odds are if you are in Cairns you are here to dive or snorkel.
