Snorkel & Dive Hawaii

Our organization (Tossin’ Away ALS) hosted a family in Hawaii last week on a Creating Memories trip and one of the activities was an adaptive snorkeling session with Emilie and her team. The dad of the family is currently fighting ALS and has minimal use of his arms and legs, but getting in the ocean and seeing sea turtles was at the top of his bucket list and the Snorkel and Dive Hawaii team made sure it happened! They were so careful with him and came up with a plan that kept him safe and allowed his dreams to come true. They listened and were so kind with everybody. Our family/group was rather large and a little chaotic, but Emilie was great at communicating with everybody and making sure we all stayed safe while having the experience of a lifetime. Can’t recommend a session with Emilie and her team enough!

I cannot recommend this women-run snorkel business enough. From the very beginning, the experience stood out, especially the incredible pre-snorkel safety briefing. The guide took the time to thoroughly explain everything, making sure we felt informed, confident, and completely at ease before ever entering the water. It was clear that safety wasn’t just a formality, but something she truly cared about. Once in the water, her knowledge absolutely shined. She was incredibly well-versed in the local marine life and shared fascinating information about the animals we encountered. Even more impressive was her deep respect for the wildlife, everything was done in a way that prioritized the animals’ space and natural behavior, which made the experience feel ethical and meaningful. The snorkeling gear was comfortable and well-fitted, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the experience without distractions. She was also extremely attentive to individual needs, frequently checking in to make sure we were comfortable and supported. She did an amazing job pointing out a wide variety of wildlife that we might have otherwise missed and allowed us opportunities to dive down for closer looks when appropriate, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, this was an empowering, educational, and unforgettable snorkeling experience led by a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and passionate woman. I would absolutely snorkel with her again and highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a safe, respectful, and enriching adventure.
