Wonderful experience with Sea Trek! Very interesting stroll beneath the seas, but what made it exceptional was all the fantastic staff and the crew of local guys who guide you underwater. They made me feel like a fairy undersea princess with so much personal attention and care….never dreamed I’d ever be surrounded by a crew of aquatic paparazzi! Great fun! Totally memorable, easy and accessible. The ladder in and out was easy (even for a fat old lady with bad knees 😂) And of course I bought the photo package at the end - totally worth it👍
It was an amazing experience! I didn't realize how far the destination was from the cruise port so I took a $7 taxi but after noticing how short the distance was I decided to walk back and that was like a 15 minute walk and straight forward on a public roadr. SeaTrek is located in the rear of Jeanie’s Restaurant. The staff is professional, polite and very thorough. Two drinks included after your adventure per person. Photos and/or video available for purchase. Highly recommended. They will provide a secure locker for valuables. Changing rooms are available. I wore my own water shoes but they had some there as well. Even though the cruise did offer this as an excursion I went thru Viator because it was much cheaper. I was the only person there so it was a personal experience for me. They were very thorough in going over safety. The water was so pretty. After you step a few steps down the ladder they put the helmet on. It's a bit heavy but you adjust. It works to allow the water to stay below your chin area. The only issue I had was the constant ear pressure but they went over techniques to combat that and they worked. It was just annoying. But it was mentioned before hand. It didnt affect my outcome of the experience. You have a guide that teaches you hand signals to make sure you're OK. They're very patient. Then another guide is recording videos and taking pictures. There's a rope to hold onto to as you walk around. Theres fish that they bait to come around you to take pictures. Its pretty to walk the bottom of the water. There's some cool things to see that I don't want to spoiled by telling. I think it was about 20 mins or so down there. They help you out and then you can eat and get your free drinks while you wait for your pictures and video. Thats an extra fee but worth it. I'd definitely recommend this excursion. If you're claustrophobic or have ear issues I probably wouldn't recommend. No swimming experience needed. All you have to do is walk. A few waves but you have the rope to hold onto and catch your balance.
This was a highlight of our vacation. it was easy & fun. The staff was great. The restaurant was excellent and our free drinks delicious (we chose strawberry daiquiri & pina colada). I highly recommend this one and we'll do it again for sure!!
