Sea Dragon Dive Center, Khao Lak

I did 5D / 4N... had nothing but positive things to say. I had the Andaman boat. It was custom designed with diving in mind (top deck different than other generic dive boats in area). Dorms were comfy, with good aircon. Bathrooms clean, with hot water... overall great accommodation. The food and staff were incredible. Delicious meals everyday, everyone super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had Leon (he's done it for 5 years) and Silja (super fun German girl). We got to see manta and loads of interesting sites. The price point was very fair. Lots of people on the boat had been repeat customers with Sea Dragon. Overall an amazing experience. I would only change the start times to be later but understand the logic with the gaps between dives etc. Also staff was misinformed that water / hydration is critical to dive comfortably... But actually I proved coke diet does not lead to DCS.

I recently completed a 4-day / 4-night liveaboard with Sea Dragon on the MV Andaman, and it was an amazing experience. I stayed in the dorm, which had plenty of space and was very well organized. The equipment provided was in great condition and everything felt well maintained. One small downside for me was the wetsuit policy, the included 2.5mm shorty wasn’t enough for four dives per day, especially with thermoclines sometimes dropping to around 25°C, so I ended up paying extra for a long wetsuit. It wasn’t really about the money, but I do feel that on trips with this many dives per day, a full wetsuit should be included as standard. Of course, this is just my personal opinion. The boat crew were amazing. Super helpful, professional, and always friendly and smiling. Big applause to all of them, and especially to the cook, who did an incredible job throughout the trip. Our dive master Enya was fantastic at spotting small stuff and made the dives really enjoyable. Also a big thanks to Maurice for being such a great and attentive boat supervisor. If I had one wish, it would be to have done more dives at Richelieu Rock. Honestly, that site alone made the whole trip worth it. One practical tip for future guests: reception is poor in some areas, so don’t rely on stable internet during the trip. On the bright side, it’s a great opportunity to disconnect from the modern world and fully enjoy the experience. Overall, a very well-run liveaboard with a great team and some fantastic diving. We will definitely come back ❤️

Had a great 7-night trip on MV Andaman! The dives were beautiful with a huge biodiversity. The team was very professional and all the trip was perfectly organized. And the food was just superb!!! A great experience and awesome value for money! A special thanks to Instructor P’Ton for a wonderful time! (Don’t expect any big animals, though. Mantas and whale sharks are really uncommon)
