1 month before a trip to Hawaii my wife and I decided to get open water certified. We have two little kids so our schedule was very tight and our training opportunities were limited. I reached out to a bunch of dive instructors and Justin was the only one who could make it happen. Somehow he worked us into his schedule and we knocked out all the training in time for our Hawaii dive. More importantly, I’m so grateful I found him as an instructor. The dude was born to do this - he’s fun, extraordinarily competent and knowledgeable, laid back, calming, reassuring, and pure positivity. Don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say this but training with Justin was life changing (no joke- 5 stars feels inappropriately low). Every training was so much fun and our final training dive with him was a true peak experience for me and one that I will never forget. I’ve 100% been bitten by the scuba bug (thanks to Justin) and now most of my waking thoughts revolve around diving. I’m going to continue to work with him for a long time and pick up as much knowledge from him as I can. If are looking for a dive instructor, your search is over. THIS is the dude you want. I cannot recommend him enough.

Justin is the best scuba instructor. I was super nervous to dive, but he made the experience fun with no pressure whatsoever and because of that I was able to chill and enjoy the dives. He is reassuring, attentive, highly knowledgeable, …

I had an outstanding experience with Scuba With Justin in San Diego. The entire process felt professional, calm and well structured from start to finish. Justin is incredibly knowledgeable about ocean conditions at La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Cove and takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable before progressing. The private format made a huge difference for me and I felt safe, prepared and confident in the water. If you’re looking for private scuba lessons or PADI certification in San Diego, this is the way to do it!
