Scuba Republic - Komodo

I stayed on the Bajak for the 4 nights 5 day Komodo special tour and I can't recommend it enough. The dive sites were absolutely stunning with some incredible reefs. The tour includes a nice coverage of sites that display the best of the small things and the big things. During the dives upon the Bajak we had some incredible sightings from Hammerhead, turtles, blacktip sharks, great barracuda, to the smaller things like orangutan crabs and blue dragon nudibranch. The crew, instructors and guides on board were great (Shout out to Leo) they made our time onboard amazing, making us feel well looked after while onboard. The chef on this boat is also amazing, every single meal he cooked up for us was delicious! Bare in mind that it is an old style wooden boat so living quarters are small, not that you'll be down there much as there is lots of room on the upper deck and at the back of the main deck for you to relax. I would definitely recommend diving with Scuba Republic while in Labuan Bajo!

I completed my Divemaster training with Scuba Republic last summer, and I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better company. The things I learned during those weeks will stay with me for the rest of my life. The team, the crew, and the management are incredibly dedicated, and their knowledge of the ocean goes far beyond what I expected. The program made us go out of our comfort zones and properly learn, demonstrate and teach skills and knowledge. Komodo National Park is a challenging environment that teaches you a lot about currents, conditions, and dive planning, which is why I chose this place. I wouldn’t have learned nearly as much without the divemasters and instructors who were always willing to take their time, between dives, on the boat every day, and even after their shifts, patiently explaining everything again and again until we truly understood. That level of dedication is deeply appreciated and something I will remember throughout my entire diving career. A special thank you to Franck, Flo, Patricia, Pauline, Leo, Anita, Jogan, Yano, and Engel. But not only them, the entire team made this experience what it was, thank you to all the instructors and divemasters, the boat crew, the front office, and the management. Without all of you, this company wouldn’t be what it is today. Flo was my mentor and also the manager of the company. The job is hard work and not always easy, but the Divemaster training plan that was put together is truly excellent. When I compare it to other companies, I can clearly see the potential this one has, and how lucky I was to be part of such a strong training program. Manon, his wife, has also created an impressive marketing and social media presence for the company, which I truly admire. She was always there with a smile and ready to help. I had an amazing experience with Scuba Republic Komodo. I did my Open Water course with Franck, and it was a great start to my diving journey. Franck was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable, which made me feel safe and confident underwater. The Hiu Bodoh boat was very nice and comfortable, the food was very good, and the boat crew were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. After that, I joined the Bajak liveaboard for 5 days, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything exceeded my expectations: very high safety standards, excellent knowledge and professionalism of the whole team, food on Bajak was more than excellent, with lots of snacks and a great variety, a very good, friendly and relaxed atmosphere on board, friendly and attentive crew, and of course, incredible diving. Thank you to the entire Scuba Republic Komodo team for such an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to dive in Komodo!
