Came here for the wreck diving but were wowed by the resort. Food, service and amenities were all fantastic. Tom at the dive shop and the other dive masters: Ed, Eco and Shy were all fabulous. Gear and safety all top notch. We took our Nitrox course which is very much recommended. It was the perfect blend of comfort and remoteness. Hope to come back some day. Thank you 😊

This hotel is a little piece of paradise. We stayed four nights and we had an amazing time there. We dived with tom, he is an amazing instructor, and the wrecks are really impressive to see. The staff is really friendly and the hotel is very beautiful and quiet. If you want to unwind while enjoying beautiful dives this is the place to go!

This resort is absolutely fantastic! If you are looking for a quiet experience with no other resort on the island, and around 20 guests + staff on the entire island with thatched-roof beachfront bungalows, with a lovely beach and a coral reef for snorkeling directly in front of the resort, this is for you. And...it's a prime dive resort with world-class shipwreck diving. There are several WW2 Japanese shipwrecks nearby, and the resort has the equipment and expertise to facilitate dives. I wish we had longer to take the PADI course and wreck dives. We are not divers (yet), so we enjoyed snorkeling at one of the shallow wrecks. We rented kayaks and paddled to a stunning coral garden and amazing hot spring nestled in a mangrove forest. The staff is very helpful and friendly. All meals are included in the room package because there are no restaurants on the island. The resort's meals and service were excellent. Most of the guests were divers, and greatly enjoyed the shipwreck dives. If you are like us and not divers, this peaceful resort has plenty of activities to keep you busy, or just relax. We loved this resort and hope to return someday and stay longer so we can take the PADI dive certification course and explore the shipwrecks. And return to the stunning coral garden. We loved the hot spring in the mangrove forest so much, we went twice and there was no one there but my partner and I. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sangat Island Dive Resort!
