⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable diving experience with an incredible instructor I had an amazing experience with Sanctum Dive Centre in Nusa Penida. From the very beginning, the whole team was professional, friendly, and extremely well organized, which made the entire learning process smooth and enjoyable. As someone who tends to consume air quite quickly underwater, Fahri was very attentive and helped me improve my breathing and buoyancy. He showed me how to move less, stay more relaxed, and adjust the correct weight, which made a huge difference in my air consumption. Thanks to his guidance, I could see clear improvement with every dive. His ability to keep us calm, explain things clearly, and motivate us made a huge difference in my confidence underwater. Thanks to him, every dive became more enjoyable than the previous one. Nusa Penida is an incredible place to dive, and doing it with such a professional and supportive team made the experience even better. If you’re considering learning to dive or improving your diving skills in Bali/Nusa Penida, I highly recommend Sanctum Dive Centre. You’ll be in excellent hands. It really depends on your instructor! 🤿 To be honest, the experience from the first 3 days we would have given a 2 stars rating. But our last days with the change of instructor turned our opinion 360°. The first days my partner did his Open Water, we registered us upfront via WhatsApp for 1 Open Water and 2 Advanced on the following days for PADI (which is 500.000 IDR more expensive). And we also stayed at the Sanctum Dive Hotel (this is a seperate rating). So the experience of the Open Water was not really professional and also not what we were promised beforehand. He didn't got picked up and bought to the Dive school as promised, it always took more than half an hour till someone arrived. And every day the course startet later but ended like normal, so he got way less hours than promised. The skills they practiced were missing some essential parts, when he told me about the things they did I compared to my Open Water and realised that he missed out on important skills. His instructor went out drinking the nights before diving (also not really professional). Plus on the first day he got served food and was asked to pay for it, while normally it's included. So I wasn't really amused to start my Advanced with him the following days. BUT everything changed when we started our Advanced and with that the instructor changed to AI. Ai is a super professional and authentic person, from the first moment you felt safe with. He taught us even more than the essential parts of the skills and also showed my partner the skills he was missing from his OWD. It was just fun and also pretty informative diving with Ai. So that we even booked another 2 fun dives after our advanced with him. So a big big thank you to AI for changing our experience and sharing his knowledge and hospitality with us! We are super grateful and looking forward meeting you again! 🤙🏼🌸 In the end it even came out that my partner was taught by an SSI instructor and didn't got the PADI Open Water lessons. After we complained they changed the certificate to PADI but like I mentioned in the beginning we also paid way more for something he didn't got. No other compensations. All and all mixed feelings about this dive centre. The people I met were super friendly and nice but there are definitely things to improve: Some of the gear is worn out and not functioning properly ( some smelled pretty moldy), the snacks could be a bit more diverse (it was always cookies) maybe some fruits would be nice. In the end I would recommend you to ask for AI and book your dives with him, then you're not gonna be disappointed.☺️🙏🏼

We have become verified PADI open water divers here! Best experience with AI who is a fun instructor and also gives you a lot of detailed instructions. We did 4 dives with mata rays, turtles, trigger fishes and many things to see. The instructor takes amazing videos of you and also do the exercises with you until you master them. The chill area is also nice with food after the dives. Ask for anything, they are happy to help and safety comes first for them which let you to relax and enjoy your dive. Have fun!
