What another review wrote about this special dive shop is true — “You walked in as a stranger but left as part of a family.” My boyfriend and I booked our two-day open water certification experience over the phone with the owner Tarek “T” three months ago while in Boston. Over several calls, T patiently answered all of our questions, so by the time we flew down to FL and walked into their shop on the X’mas eve (they opened throughout the holidays), we felt like we already knew T and his wife Michaela. They treated us with care and attentiveness, and made us feel relaxed in their shop and on their boat. It felt like you were just hanging out with very knowledge and experienced diving friends. A big shout out to our fantastic instructor Elara “E.” She held us through every step of the Open Water certification over two days like a big sister (despite being probably younger than us) and made the whole process fun and smooth. In the end we not only received our PADI certification but also met a wonderful human being. I’d recommend this dive shop to all my friends looking for anything diving-related in Key Largo. Just give them a call or walk straight into their shop. You will be in good hands. Sharing some photos and videos of the aquatic creatures we saw on our dives!

What a great experience. The owners, Michaela and T, and my trainer, Elara, are experienced, fun, kind, smart, etc. It was my birthday and they even bought me a cake! They all really went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn't be more happier that I chose them for my scuba diving training. Elara was my trainer and I'm soooo happy I had her. She made me feel safe, calm and confident. She is delightful and caring and made the whole experience fun. I'm coming back on a few days to do scuba diving and my boyfriend will snorkel. I trust them and would encourage my loved ones to go here for training or for a tour.

Our experience with Sailfish Scuba was above and beyond what I would expect from a dive shop, start to finish. The vibes were excellent. When we called, I was so refreshed to find a sweet couple running the shop, Tarek and Michaela, who had a fantastic chill vibe and took extra time to talk to us ahead of time about the experience. Service-oriented, made extra efforts to make the experience easy and pleasurable - had exceptionally good gear that actually fit, took time to find the right mask or fin. Helped with every aspect of the experience. Dave was so kind in all of his help along the way - Carried all the gear, cared for the gear, assisted us to get out of the boat and back into the boat. When we had a tougher dive, they took extra care to make sure we were ok and help us recover. We felt very safe with Tarek, who is insanely experienced and a fascinating guy. He had music and great stories and brought together a really outstanding crew. Kate, the captain, made us feel safe and cared for. Tarek suggested we use our dives to get our Advanced Open Water certification, along with NITROX certification. We were so happy to find them, and will dive with them again if we’re in the area!
