Three day Ocean Diver course, one adult and two kids (12 and 14). Our instructor Mohamed was fantastic— nursing along a nervous 12 year old, challenging a disorganised 14 year old. Always calm, fun, knowledgeable and confidence inspiring. He successfully got us through the course, with some hard work on his part, including taking the 14 year old down for an extra session to work on his skills. All very safe and each session progressed nicely. We had a brilliant few days of diving in the Red Sea (two days from the wonderful Shakira dive-boat, with a friendly crew -- shout out to Captain Khaled and Ali the photographer — and great food) as well as the certification at the end of it. Very professional and fun group of guys, and Mohamed is an excellent instructor. Highly recommend.
If you want to be a professional diver the Red Sea Star Diving Centre is the place to go! Just ask for Mohamed and he will help you become a professional. Highly recommend and a great overall experience! Will definitely come diving again soon!
Came here for one week and completed 6 dives in all 3 from the dive boat that picks you up from the end of the jetty and 3 from the jetty. The staff were very friendly and helpful not to pushy like some places I’ve been and was given a good discount due to time of year. First dive we went out from the jetty and within 5 minutes came across a giant turtle slowly grazing on the sea grass it didnt seam the slightest bothered me being so close and watching . We came across several more then we entered a sandy area where we sore lots of eagle rays . The second dive that day was very similar and felt a bit rushed but I think the young lad /instructor was just trying to show me as much as possible . The boat trip was out to a beautiful reef that was full of life from moray eels to rays and a spotted eel snake. This was a much more relaxed dive with a swim through . The last dive of the day was a drift dive that led us to a display of various military tanks that had been placed there for our pleasure . Inside one of the tanks was a huge moray eel and sat on top of another tank was a stone fish . I’d like to say a big thank you to the staff for making my dives interesting and at a good price too.
