Used them for our last afternoon dive after using another outfit for the previous 2 days. Thunder and lightning didn't stop us from going out. 18 divers packed onto a boat, barely enough room for us to all sit down. I was renting my gear on the trip and asked at the kiosk whether they had an option of wetsuit sizes. The kiosk staff assured me. When underway, one of the staff handed me a suit atleast one size too small. After putting it on, I asked for a larger one only to be told it would be perfect in the water. My 35 years of diving experience and ability to judge my size was apparently flawed. The South Aquarium dive was nothing special. Fine for certification dives but mediocre when compared to the west wall and kittiwake wreck which we had done the day before. Visibility started to deteriorate midway through. The bcd deflate button also started to malfunction at depth. Not a pleasant experience. Back aboard, I advised the captain Pablo and the same crew member of the malfunctioning equipment. They pretty much shrugged it off. Given that Redsail's price point is no lower than the competition who have at max a third the number of divers, one wonders why anyone would chose them, particularly already certified divers. I'm asking myself the same question. Lesson learned.
I completed my PADI Open Water certification here under the tutelage of Pablo and it was such a wonderful experience. Pablo was extremely patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and brought good vibes only all the time. Literally perfect …
Wow! What an amazing first time scuba experience. I can’t express the amount of joy this brought me. If you’re not open water certified but looking for a way to try of scuba diving look no further. Sarah was an amazing host and guide. Her professionalism was only topped by her personality. She was patient, kind, funny and helpful which are all key things when 40 ft below the ocean. She really made the whole experience 100 times better. Which is tough because we saw 2 sharks and a sea turtle. Book with red sail, hope you get Sarah, and enjoy! My life will never be the same!
