Ra Divers Fiji

If you want to see coral and beautiful tropical fish - dive here. We are in our 60s and trained as new scuba divers with Ra Divers before going on our 1st reef dive with them. Training is excellent, and once we were qualified we were able to go on a reef dive. They have good boats, and excellent local knowledge of the reef. As beginners we were reassured that we had a Dive Master with each small group of 4 divers. The coral is stunning, and there's all kinds of fish - this was the local reef (10mins from shore) not the marine reserve reef (30-40mins away)The sea being what it is, it had chopped up a bit when we surfaced from the dive and being a small build woman in my mid 60's, our Dive Master actually helped tow me back to the boat. I always had 100% confidence in the crew and dive masters, and saw them manage some complex situations extremely safely - this mattered to me - I worked in clinical medicine prior to retirement and safety is something I look for. It was worth coming here, doing the scuba training and doing an additional dive to see the corals and fish here. Gorgeous pristine clear water too.

I scheduled two days of diving with Ra Divers in mid-June 2025. The resort was nice but in an isolated area. The dive shop was well run, clean, and staffed by many friendly professionals. Most divers stay at the resort and leave their equipment with the shop. I drove in daily and brought my gear each day. Ra Divers has many good, serviceable boats and made quick decisions based upon levels of divers ability and number per boat. I never felt crowded or rushed. We have a 1 dive master to 4 diver ratio and all the rental equipment and boats were well maintained, serviced, and clean. The dive sites were primarily to the east of the resort in a Marine park. It took 30-40 minutes to reach the dive sites both days. All four dives were excellent, with abundant sea life, not cold water when wearing 3mm, and with decent 10-15 feet visibility. Not a lot of large sea life in the area, but truly beautiful coral and fish.
