Stayed at Quo Vadis for our Sardine Run experience. The rooms are spacious. With hot shower. The resort also has a restaurant, its own dive center and car park. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. At Moalboal, parking be a concern. So make sure the resort has it. The food was good and generous in serving. The divemaster we had was very precise. He went through the safety measures and details of the dive. He checked us underwater and pointed out critters.

Amazing Experience at Quo Vadis! Highly Recommended! I was lucky enough to have Gabi as my instructor, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! Even though my English is not the best, Gabi was incredibly patient, a true professional, and explained everything clearly while keeping it light and fun. She made the learning process enjoyable and stress-free. The dive center itself is excellent, the staff is courteous, and everything ran smoothly. If you are looking for a place to dive in Moalboal, don't think twice - Quo Vadis and Gabi are the place to go!

Stayed in Quo Vadis for 4 nights to dive Moalboal, and I can say without a doubt that it is one of the nicest dive resorts that I have been to. It is situated right in front of the ocean, with a good view of Pescador Island in the distance. Despite being an old resort, it appears to have gone through some refurbishing in recent years as the facade seems quite modern. The stone walkways connecting the rooms to the main road really gives the place a ‘resort-y’ feel. On to the diving, we dove with Esmail and Jezz who are fantastic dive guides. They always checked in to make sure that everything was ok, which made us feel safe. Both of them are also excellent critter hunters, constantly helping me to find things to take pictures of. All the dives were done off Bangka boats fitted with platforms. Water dispensers (with cups) are present, and snacks are also served after the first dive of the day. The boat would typically return to the dive center between dives, but you can choose to remain on the boat if you’d prefer. Although people normally bring up diving Moalboal in the context of the sardine runs, I would say without a doubt that the diving quality here is world class. (1) Sardine runs: This absolutely cannot be missed. Having hundreds of thousands of these fish dancing around you is really something that I will never forget. The drop-off point for the sardine run is usually quite crowded (and unfavourable vis), but as you swim southwards, the water starts to clear up and you’ll get to experience the full might of the sardines away from the crowds (I am unable to upload any footage I have of the sardines so please come and see it for yourselves!). (2) Pescador Island: Unfortunately, I only managed to dive here once due to weather conditions. Despite coming here on a cloudy day, the visibility was already fantastic. A mix of soft and hard corals covered every inch of the wall all the way to the sea floor. I could only imagine how beautiful this place would be on a sunny day. I would liken this to Sipadan without the bumpheads/ barracuda , but with the benefit of being infinitely more accessible and cheaper. (3) Moalboal local dives: I was not expecting much at first but the walls all along the coast are filled with coral aplenty. There is usually a slight drift during these dives so they can be quite relaxing as well. Perhaps the local sites are not talked about much as there is not much reef fish but the healthy coral more than makes up for it… oh, and the sheer amount of turtles as well. I spotted a turtle basically every dive, some even as big as an adult human. If you want to see turtles, this is definitely the place to be! Of course, my experience at Quo Vadis would not have been half as amazing if not for the wonderful staff (just to name a few whose names I can remember off the top of my head): Analou for making the entire booking process seamless; Lorelei and Joseph at the front desk who helped me with my many requests; and the other friendly dive guides whom I met along the way (Dingo??? and Will). It was truly an amazing experience and I cannot wait to be back to dive Moalboal with Quo Vadis again!
