Pura Vida Diving

Pura Vida Diving is the best! My husband, daughter and I did the Cenote dives and it was incredible. We ended up having a private guide. He was knowledgeable, experienced, paid attention to detail, safe, and over all really great to spend the day with. I highly recommend Pura Vida Diving and will absolutely use them again.

This truly was an amazing experience. I’d never dove the cenotes before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I owe a great deal of gratitude to Caesar for preparing me for what to expect and not. He was professional throughout my time diving from beginning to end. I would highly recommend diving with this shop and especially him. Never once was I concerned about my safety, or went into the water not knowing what to expect.

Pura Vida Diving bent over backwards to fit my schedule, arranging a full open water course with just two days' notice and compacting it into two days, two dives each. It was a lot of work, but absolutely worth it. My instructor Merle was knowledgeable, passionate, and made me feel completely safe in the water. Caesar, who runs the operation, was equally generous, shuttling Merle and me between the center, pool, and beach without complaint. As the only student in a class capped at four, it effectively became a private lesson which was a nice bonus. By the end, I came away genuinely capable: I can assemble gear, communicate underwater, and confidently follow an experienced buddy through a dive. Leading one myself will take more time in the water, but that's on me, not the course. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get certified.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
