PS BUNAKEN Resort & Dive

Great place to stay with a family, very kind and helpful staff, we stayed for 5 nights with our family and really enjoyed it but there are some improvement points in my opinion that I would like to share. 1. The restaurant is a bit understaffed, he waiting time is usually a bit long if you did not pre'order, there is 1 cook that works 4 hours a day, that is not enough for a resort, generally eating in Bunaken/Sulawesi is a bit the same. 2. The new snorkeling equipment is great but the goggles need to be treated properly to enjoy using them, for me the goggles were fogging up every few minutes, even with soap, im not a pro myself but this could be easily researched, how to prepare snorkeling goggles for good use. 3. We stayed during new years time and some nights, the musik in the village right behind the cabins in the back, had musik so loud that my bed was vibrating, I was very tired but could not manage to fall asleep, perhaps a higher wall would create more peace for the guests. 4. The rooms are nice but could be decorated a little bit, the walls are all empty, some paintings or art, would make it feel a bit more like a home. I would surely love to come back, the manager, pak Bril, is a really great guy who really wants to give the best experience to people, much appriciated. And just in general, maintenance is something that is bad everywhere in Indonesia (maaf ya) so I hope that when I come back, the place will still be in the great condition it is now. I had a very nice stay at this resort on the Bunaken Islands. The service was really friendly and attentive, the resort is modern, well maintained and the rooms were excellent and very comfortable. Overall, there is really nothing to complain about. But there is one downside: there are roosters on the property that woke me up every morning between 4:00 and 5:00 am. This is the main reason for deducting one star, as peace and quiet should be expected in a resort. Still a great place with lots of potential.

Perfect place to stay in Bunaken. It's a new resort, so everything here is clean and good looking. I can only fully recommend to stay here and sip some coconouts laying at the pool or beach 😉
