Fantastic Scuba Diving Live aboard Experience on the Great Barrier Reef We just went on a 3 days / 2 nights live aboard with PRODIVE Cairns and had an absolute blast 😁 Amazing dive sites on the Great Barrier Reef, with astonishing under water life. Breathtaking scenery 🤩, superb corals 🪸, and an endless variety of fish 🐟🐡🐠🦈 or sea creatures 🐢🦑🦀🦞🦐. Hats off for the 6 crew members who worked hard to make this trip a wonderful once in a lifetime experience: - Joshua : captain 🫡 but also boat chief engineer. Always ready to answer any question one has about the area, - Isobel : diving supervisor 👩🏼‍🏫 - pro and fun at the same time. Crystal clear pre diving briefings with loads of information. She has shown dedicated attention to each of the 32 different divers that were on the boat, adapting comments/answers to everyone’s diving profile/experience. - Daniel, Matteo, Oreo : Dive Masters 🤿, dive instructors for those getting certified during the trip. Three of them super dynamic, friendly, attentive to any small details to make each dive both safe and fun. - Vincent : chef 👨🏻‍🍳 on the boat who prepared delicious dishes (we ate very very well! And I’m French, so I don’t compromise on food 😋) for breakfast, lunch and dinner + snacks/fruits/cakes so all divers could eat after every single dive. Thank you so much guys for taking care of the boat which has remained consistently spotless clean during the entire trip (requires hard work to do so with 32 passengers on board). Comfy beds, air conditioned rooms, large sun deck to relax, spacious cantine area, great diving deck, and once again, pristine clean bathrooms/toilets throughout the entire trip. Thanks a lot for this wonderful trip guys. We are definitely coming back the soonest we can, and this time, with the whole family

I‘d give this trip a 3.5/5. Overall, I had a good time on this liveaboard. We visited several cool dive sites and I saw tons of wildlife (sharks, turtles, moray eels, clown fish,…). The staff were very nice and welcoming and took time to explain everything. However I have a few cons that being down my rating: Since there was a lot of people doing their Open Water Diver certification, all divemasters and instructors were occupied with that and guided dives were not available 90% of the time, which wasn‘t stated on the website. On the PADI website it is stated, that there would be free wifi available. This was not the case. It‘s not an issue to be offline for a few days, but I would have appreciated knowing about it. Maybe this is an issue with PADI though and not ProDive Cairns. Another thing that bothered me was that motion sickness pills were sold at 3$ per pill. The boats I was on previously distributed them free of charge. Also the wetsuits weren‘t being hung up to dry which left them with a nasty smell after a few days and was always an extra pain in the a**. They did accommodate dietary restrictions and fresh food and water was available breakfast, lunch and dinner and snacks between dives. Reef-friendly sunscreen was also supplied in large quantities. I would go again, knowing the things I know now, but I‘d prepare a bit differently.

But if a late review but just wanted to come back and show my gratitude to pro dive! Did the 4 day open water course / liveaboard back in October and it was amazing. First of all, amazing crew. Kevin was my instructor and got some more assistance from Christina since I had trouble equalizing during one of the days. After doing some more dives I could really tell that pro dive and specifically Kevin and Christina deliver great quality. Learned so much, even more than what was required. Made me a very confident diver. Learned more here than from my advanced open water course in Thailand. From planning to dives, the actually dives and the debrief. So insightful. Also, the Great Barrier Reef is amazing. By doing a liveaboard you can really get to see the best spots, all by yourself. 10/10. Also met amazing people on the trip with whom I’m still in contact. Once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for everything! Was really an eye opener to my diving carrier
