Playa Scuba Dive Center

Klaus (owner) & Kai (divemaster) went above and beyond to give the best experience. Klaus said he was near where I was staying so he picked me up the morning of the dive & Kai gave me one of his fins while diving when mine was too tight. Seeing the bull sharks was one of the best experiences of my life & im so happy I booked with playa scuba. It was also more affordable than other places and although I was the only diver they still took me without an extra charge (some places require a minimum of multiple divers). Will come again when I am back!

I chose Playa Scuba for my open water certification, and I’m so glad I did. Klaus is the best! He’s a great guy and terrific instructor. After our initial pool dive, he took me to the beautiful Casa Cenote where we saw Panchito, the local mascot crocodile (he’s nice). We then followed it up with a reef where we saw tons of sea life, including a massive loggerhead turtle. He was always proactive, and by the end I felt very confident with my skills. I would definitely recommend Playa Scuba to anyone looking for certifications. I’d also recommend Playa Scuba if you’re a seasoned diver looking for a great dive while in the area. Klaus and his team are fun and personable people who are going to make sure you have an amazing time.
