This diving shop is fantastic! All the instructors are great at guiding you, and they’re also friendly and easy to chat with. I highly recommend spending multiple days diving here. If you’re physically fit, the shore dives are not only cheaper but also much more stunning than the boat dives!

Just finished three amazing days of diving with Piranha Divers! Their gear is top-notch, including side-mount setups and DPVs, and everything felt brand new. Bas knows the area inside out and took us to some fantastic sites where we spotted giant turtles, octopuses, sea snakes, a mantis shrimp, and even some nudibranchs I’d never seen before—including the adorable Shaun the Sheep. The shop owner, Jan, was incredibly helpful and patient. He made sure I had all the information I needed and even managed to coordinate my dives last minute after another shop canceled on me. I also really appreciated their commitment to conservation and the fact that they use electric cars—such a thoughtful touch. If you’re planning to dive here, I definitely recommend staying in the area. There are great restaurants nearby and a hidden little beach to the left of the Halekulani Resort that’s perfect for watching the sunset—no crowded buoys, just peaceful views. Getting here is easy too, with rental cars or airport shuttles available. Would absolutely dive with them again—highly recommend!

Together with my family, I spent three wonderful days diving with Jan, and it was an amazing experience for all of us. My kids completed their Open Water training and certification under Jan’s guidance, and they had an absolutely great time. He was very attentive, explained the equipment and diving techniques in detail, and always made sure the kids felt safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend Jan and his team to anyone who wants to start their diving journey. I also joined Jan for some fun dives along the coast of Okinawa, where we explored sites such as Gorilla Chop and the famous Blue Cave. These were fantastic dives, full of colorful fish, corals, and exciting swim-throughs. If I ever have the chance to return to Okinawa, I would definitely dive with Jan and his team again.
