Phi Phi Pro Diving Academy

I did my Divemaster internship for 4 months with Sal and it was an amazing experience. The course is very well structured and you learn so much, both in theory and in real diving situations. I actually started with only 9 dives, and thanks to Sal’s guidance and support, I gained so much confidence and experience along the way. Sal is an incredible instructor, always supportive, professional, and passionate about teaching. She really makes you feel confident, capable, and motivated to improve. During these months, I grew a lot as a diver and as a person, and I had the chance to meet people from all over the world, which made the experience even more special. It’s such a fun and rewarding journey, and I would 100% recommend Sal’s course to anyone thinking about becoming a Divemaster.

I spent several unforgettable months with Sal at Princess Divers on Koh Phi Phi during the autumn and winter of 2023, and it is hard to put into words just how meaningful that experience was for me. I arrived as a very inexperienced diver, holding only Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications — and honestly, I could barely manage a safety stop without floating up like a balloon. I came for an internship, unsure of my abilities and with a lot to learn. What I found instead was a place that truly felt like home. From that starting point, I continued my training through several non-professional and professional-level courses, eventually progressing all the way to Divemaster and then Instructor. I even certified as a Specialty Instructor — something I never would have imagined when I first arrived. To this day, it remains one of my fondest memories. A very special thank you goes to my Instructor Trainer, Sal, whose guidance, professionalism, and deep knowledge made an enormous difference in my development. Her support — along with the rest of the team — went far beyond teaching skills; it built confidence, trust, and a genuine love for teaching diving. Sal and Princess Divers didn’t just teach me how to dive or how to teach — they helped me grow as a person. What started as a simple internship turned into months of learning, laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories. I arrived knowing very little, but I left with strong skills, confidence, lifelong friendships, and a deep sense of gratitude. I came for experience — I left with a family. Thank you, Phi Phi — and thank you, Sal, for everything. I will always be thankful for this place and the people who made it what it is.

I arrived as an Advanced Open Water diver with fewer than 15 dives, and I left (just for now) as a confident Divemaster with unforgettable memories. Sal conducted the training in a highly professional way, perfectly combining theory classes, in-water skills, and real-life experience in a busy dive center. She always takes the time each student needs to learn, improve, and truly gain confidence underwater. She is charismatic, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching and helping future dive professionals grow. During the training, I learned how to handle difficult and stressful situations calmly and professionally, always with a smile and while still having fun. Sal makes the learning environment supportive and motivating. Diving in Phi Phi, in such a beautiful place, makes the whole experience even more special. Sal and the entire team create the perfect atmosphere for learning, growing, and enjoying every dive. By the end of the program, you feel confident, well-prepared, and ready to work as a Divemaster or continue your professional diving journey. Sal will always be there for you, both in and out of the water. I could not recommend her enough ❤️
