I stayed with One Ocean for several weeks to complete my Divemaster training, and it was the best experience I could’ve hoped for. From day one I was welcomed in by the experienced, friendly team and learned a lot from the boat captains, crew, divemasters and my instructors. Throughout my stay I got to dive with different instructors and visit divesites in Stone Town, Matemwe and Kendwa. This meant I could pick up lessons from different people, in different courses and environments. That variety added a lot to my learning and made the whole experience even better. My favourite place to dive ended up being the quiet reefs of Stone Town. Most days we were the only boat out and the local Divemasters Hassan and Daniel seem to be able to find just about every interesting creature or coral underwater. The small team in Stone Town took amazing care of me, and I’d recommend divers of any level to dive there or take a course with instructors Boko or Rashid. A special thanks also to Sam, who organised and supervised my training and taught me so much both underwater and on the surface. It was always a pleasure being on the boat with him — whether for fun dives or during a course. Couldn’t have asked for a better time. Highly recommend One Ocean!

I had the best experience with One Ocean! 🪸 it is such a welcoming and professional dive company. With three dive centers around Zanzibar, they offer dive trips and courses led by highly experienced dive masters and instructors. I did my Divemaster training with the Stone Town team and am incredibly happy with the entire traineeship. 🦑 I would recommend OneOcean to divers of any experience level because they truly put in the time and effort to personalize trips and make them as fun as possible for everyone. They also provide high-quality gear, and all the dive spots they offer around the island are stunning—my personal favorites being Hunga Reef in Kendwa and Two Stones in Stone Town. 🤿🐠 My instructor, Sam, was absolutely amazing during my Divemaster training. He is incredibly knowledgeable, pedagogical, patient, and fun to be around. With safety and the well-being of his guests in mind, he always ensures that everyone on the boat has a smile on their face while also paying close attention to anyone who might need extra support. I’m forever grateful to Sam and everyone at One Ocean for all the adventures and the best experience during my traineeship. I would do it again a thousand times if I could! All the best! 🌊🏝️🐠✨
