I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The biggest issue was the bathroom. The flush did not work at all during our entire stay — there was literally no water — and we were asked to use a bucket and mug instead. The bathroom itself was not clean; the floor looked muddy and very old, and overall it felt unhygienic and untidy. There was no handwash provided initially, and I had to specifically request one. The shower was also not functioning properly, with extremely low water pressure (almost 10%), making it take 2–3 hours just to shower. This was very frustrating. The location is another downside. The hotel is quite far from the main market area and Panagsama Beach, and the road gets very dark at night. Unless you rent a scooter, it’s not very convenient to get around. On the positive side, the staff were polite during breakfast and dinner service. The property itself is green and beautiful, with plenty of activities available. It’s also a nice place to meet and connect with travelers from different countries. Overall, while the atmosphere and social environment were good, the basic facilities — especially the bathroom — need serious improvement.

There’s a review about the hut near the kitchen saying mice and rats-there are no mice/rats, there are Geckos-we saw and heard him plenty-we named him Frank! When you are staying in a Nipa hut in a tropical place-Im not sure what else you would expect? Also-their complaint about the booking-Agoda is the problem, I too booked with Agoda, and ran into issues-but staff was so friendly and made it work for us. They have a very reasonably priced menu, snorkel rental and dive excursions…a short walk to Panangsma Beach and all the downtown area. Overall a lovely experience with a lovely family to welcome you. I had a restful sleep every night and will definitely return to stay if back in Moalboal!

A rather strange experience… We had booked a double room with air conditioning, as clearly shown on Agoda. We arrived around 6 PM, but they couldn’t find our booking. Eventually, they saw that we had indeed booked, only to tell us that we weren’t entitled to this room because we hadn’t “paid for aircon.” As you can see, we did book this room. If air conditioning is not included in the price, then it’s the hotel’s responsibility to update this on Agoda—customers should not be blamed or suddenly asked to pay extra. The next day we wanted to extend for 4 nights since we planned to go diving, snorkeling, and visit waterfalls. They told us again that we weren’t entitled to the room unless we paid extra. We decided to move to a homestay nearby instead. That homestay turned out to be 10 times better—at half the price. Unfortunately for them, they lost 4 extra nights because of this. On top of that, our room was next to the kitchen, where you could hear mice or rats at night and during the day. The bathroom was full of droppings. Not pleasant at all. We do not recommend this place.
